Baldwin was a successful opera singer. He played minor roles in shows like Kate and Allie and family ties, before landing his first film role as an adult in the 1988 film The Beast. Baldwin appeared on Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice, Season 7 on NBC.
Baldwin lives in the village of Nyack, New York, with his wife, the Brazilian graphic designer Kenny Baldwin, whom he met in 1987 and married in 1990. Baldwin has a tattoo on his left shoulder, the initials "HM" for Hannah Montana.
